Kim holds a BSc in Architecture from the University of Pretoria and an MSc in Transportation and City Planning (TCP) from the Bartlett School of Planning, UCL. Her dissertation, on advertising and transportation, won the best TCP dissertation prize in 2017 and was submitted for the Voorhees-Large MSc Transport dissertation award. Having lived and worked in South Africa, Denmark and the UK, Kim is interested in the intersection of urban design, architecture and mobility and how these different disciplines can be combined to create more vibrant, resilient and sustainable cities. At Citydesigner Kim assists senior consultants and scheme managers with research and uses graphic software to prepare reports assessing the townscape, heritage, architectural and visual impact of new developments.
