Lewis Eldridge has Masters Degrees in both Urban Design and Development and Planning (Urban Economic Development). He has worked with the consultancy since 1997 in both management and urban design and conservation, with a 5 year gap where he completed his post-graduate studies and worked for the planning department at Thurrock Borough Council. As a consultant he advises on the listability of historic buildings and structures; the character and appearance of conservation areas; townscape, heritage and visual impact assessment for Environmental Impact Assessment; and how new development can be accommodated in historic settings. He has a particular interest in the research of historic buildings and sites. Lewis was a key member of the team which advised the Mayor of London on the first draft of the London View Management Framework and has a full extensive knowledge of the Strategic Views across London. Lewis’s most recent research interest has been in considering spatial inequality in London.
