Kate joined Citydesigner in November 2013 and has a BA(Hons) in Architecture from the Manchester School of Architecture and an MA in Urban Design from the University of Westminster. Research projects included masterplanning for both inner city sites and new mixed used areas centered on transport nodes. Her research also focused on the value of industrial heritage, exploring themes of place identity and questions of authenticity in urban design.

At Citydesigner, Kate works on mostly London-based projects providing design feedback to architects and clients, conducting historical research, and producing Townscape, Heritage and Visual Impact Assessments of new developments in historic settings. Some of her projects include a new south campus for The Royal College of Art Battersea by Herzog and DeMeuron Architects; a student housing scheme at 2 Trafalgar Way in Tower Hamlets by APT architects; a successful planning appeal for 60 Dace Road in Hackney Wick by Studio Egret West and providing a heritage assessment for a retail unit within the Grade II listed Centre Point.
